Self Portraits

This term Room 9/27 have been learning to sketch a picture of our face.

We practised in our sketch books first and it was a very long process.

First we had to get the shape and size of our head right.  Then we had to work on our features like our eyes, nose, ears and mouth and other details that made us who we are.  Then we added in our hair and neck and shoulders.  It was hard work but we are very proud of our finished pictures which we coloured in using pastels.

I like reading about places I know.

Sometimes it is tricky and frustrating to read because I want to know about the story but I don't know what the words.

I can read my books to my aunty sometimes.

I like to write about going to the park with my family. 

Sometimes it is tricky when I forget my word card. 

When I get stuck I can robot the word.

It is easy for me because I know some of my words and can read the question.
